Intimates & Swimwear

The smallest bill of materials in fashion and the densest. We install agentic AI alongside intimates and swim teams - chemical compliance across PFAS and restricted-substance lists, fit-critical fabric sourcing, and claim discipline on a garment where almost every component is a chemistry question.

The chemistry problem

A hundred grams, and a dozen chemical positions.

Intimates and swim carry the shortest component list in the wardrobe and the highest chemical density. Elastane content, bonded seams, moulded cups, hardware plating, dye and finish chemistry - each is a restricted-substance question before it is a cost one, and each is regulated differently by market.

Fit makes substitution expensive in a way other categories do not face. A like-for-like fabric swap changes the grade, so the pattern is re-tested rather than re-costed, and a sourcing decision made on price alone arrives back as a fit failure two months later.

General AI tools do not know that. They cannot read an RSL against a supplier declaration, they do not know which elastane suppliers a mill actually buys from, and they have no idea that a swim dye passing one market fails another. McLeuker installs agents that hold the chemistry, the fit consequence and the market rule in one place.

How we help intimates and swim brands

Practices tuned to chemistry and fit.

01

Agentic AI Strategy

A diagnostic that maps where agents fit across product development, chemical compliance, sourcing and merchandising - and ships the first workflow into production.

02

Sourcing & Supply Chain

Agents that shortlist warp-knit and elastane mills against a fabric brief, hold the trim houses that serve only this category, and carry the fit consequence of every substitution alongside its price.

03

AI Governance & Compliance

PFAS restriction tracking per market, RSL reconciliation against supplier declarations, and the disclosure pack assembled from evidence rather than from memory.

04

Product & Production Agents

Tech pack and grading support for garments where the pattern depends on the exact yarn, so a fabric change surfaces as a fit question at the point it is made.

In your day-to-day

Where agents plug into the intimates operation.

The failure mode in this category is a chemistry or fit problem discovered after the buy. The agentic workflow moves both questions earlier, to the point where they are still cheap.

01Restricted-substance reconciliation

Agents read supplier declarations against the applicable RSL and flag where a declaration is missing, expired, or covers a different article than the one being bought.

Example output

"Three of eleven dye declarations on the swim capsule predate the current ZDHC MRSL version - re-request issued."

02PFAS exposure by market

Agents map water-repellent finishes and coatings across the line against restriction timetables per market, and assemble the substitution roadmap.

Example output

"Two swim finishes fall under the California restriction; the EU REACH position differs and is tracked separately."

03Fit-critical sourcing

Agents shortlist mills per fabric brief with elastane content, recovery and width held alongside MOQ and lead time - so a substitution carries its grading consequence.

Example output

"Four warp-knit mills matched on 18% elastane and recovery band; two would change the grade and are marked as re-test required."

04Claim discipline

Agents check PDP and packaging copy against what the test data actually supports, on a category where wash, care and chemical claims attract scrutiny.

Example output

"The \"free from\" line on six PDPs is not supported by the declarations on file - flagged before publication."

05Trim and hardware traceability

Agents hold plating and coating specifications for hooks, sliders and rings, where nickel release and coating chemistry are the compliance surface.

Example output

"Hardware on the core bra programme traced to two platers; one has no current declaration."
